Heart Clinic
This is held daily by the Practice Nurse for patients with:
- Cardio Vascular Problems.
- Blood Pressure Monitoring.
- Cholesterol Checks.
- Chronic Heart Disorder Management.
Family Planning
Well Woman appointments and contraceptive services and advice are provided daily by the Practice Nurse.Family Planning advice is also given by Health Visitors.
Maternity Services
Antenatal and postnatal care is provided on Friday afternoon, by appointment.
Lifestyle Clinic
Designed to advise patients on all aspects of healthy living. Appointments can be made with the our lifesyle advisor.
Asthma Clinic
Appointments can be made with the Practice Nurse for the diagnosis, treatment and review of all patients with asthma and other chest disorders.
Diabetic Clinic
This clinic is available to all diabetic patients in the Practice to monitor the condition. Appointments are available with our Practice Nurse.
Child Surveillance Clinics
Children and babies are seen at this clinic on Wednesday afternoons by GP’s and Health Visitors. An appointment is sent out by Health Visitors to each child for a check up at 6-8 weeks.
Immunisations
Routine immunisations are done by the Health Visitors. If you have any concerns please contact your health visitor.
Child Health Clinic
Children can be seen at the Surgery by a Health Visitor where advice can be given on development, immunisations, etc. Please contact your Health Visitor for dates and times.
Travel Immunisation – Vaccinations

Flu Vaccination
Influenza Vaccination is recommended for patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes, cancer patients, carers, residents in nursing or residential homes and anyone over 65 years old. Those eligible will be contacted by NHS Scotland to arrange an appointment to have the vaccine. If you have any issues, please contact the vaccination helpline on 01698 687456.
Non NHS Certificate and Examinations
Sickness Certificates up to 7 days are not provided by the Doctor. Self-certificates for this purpose are available at reception. Private Certificates, Insurance Forms etc are not covered by the NHS and a fee will normally be payable.
Pharmacy First
Local pharmacies can treat treat a number of minor ailments:- including warts, verrucas, sore throats, coughs, headaches, cold sores, constipation, athlete’s foot, hay fever, head lice, mouth ulcers, thrush and many more.
